Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information 10000 Pas ("we", "our", or "the app") handles when you use the app, and why. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites. You don't need an account to use the app.

Data That Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored and processed only on your iPhone. We never receive it:

  • Step counts. The app reads your steps from the iPhone's motion sensor (Motion & Fitness) to check whether you've reached your goal. We don't store step counts, and they never leave your device. The app doesn't use Apple Health.
  • Apps you lock. You choose apps with Apple's Screen Time picker. Apple gives the app only anonymous tokens, so neither the app nor we can tell which apps you picked.
  • Your settings. Your step goal, unlock length, and unlock history are saved on your device.

Usage Analytics

To understand how people use the app and improve it, we collect anonymous usage events through PostHog, hosted in the European Union. These include:

  • Progress through setup (for example, whether a permission was allowed or denied)
  • How many apps you locked (not which ones), the step goal you chose, and the unlock length
  • Purchase screen views and whether a purchase or trial started, failed, or was restored
  • When your first unlock happened
  • Technical information such as device model, iOS version, app version, language, and time zone
  • A random identifier created when you install the app

This data isn't linked to your name, email, or Apple ID, and it isn't used for advertising.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription or purchase is active. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and an anonymous identifier for the app.

Permissions

  • Screen Time: to lock the apps you choose until you've walked your goal.
  • Motion & Fitness: to count your steps.
  • Notifications (optional): to let you know when an app locks again. These notifications are created on your device.

Legal Basis and Retention

We process anonymous usage data based on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the app, and purchase data to provide what you paid for. We keep usage data only as long as we need it for these purposes.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including in the European Union, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to how it's processed. Since the data we receive is anonymous, we may not be able to link it to you. Deleting the app erases all data stored on your device and resets the anonymous identifier. For any request, contact us using the email address below. You can also file a complaint with your local data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France.

Children's Privacy

10000 Pas isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
